Singing is a powerful influence in our lives. Plato said -

"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything."

I agree! To learn music takes some skill. But it really takes heart, desire and old fashioned hard work. It takes discipline, for which there is no substitute. But it also brings such joy and delight that it's hard to imagine living without music. To sing is even better. Singing is uniquely human and it's amazing to be able to do it well!  Unlike other kinds of music, singers get to: 
 
1. BUILD our instrument
2. PLAY our instrument
3. BE the instrument

Singers always have their instrument with them! We can choose how we build it and how we play it. We determine how strong it will become and how beautiful it will sound!

 My students will learn the disciplines of singing; of singing correctly; of singing well. I will show  them what it means to express yourself through music and song, not just with a beautiful melody but with words and expression. I will take my students on a journey or exploration and open up new worlds of expression, ideas and emotions.
