Take a mystical journey to ancient China in this action-packed stage adaptation of Disney’s animated film, Mulan. Based on Disney’s Oscar-nominated film, Disney's Mulan JR. is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor and the fighting spirit. With hit songs such as, “Honor to Us All”, “Reflection”, "I’ll Make a Man Out of You” and “A Girl Worth Fighting For", this is a story packed with action, humor and heart. Disney's Mulan JR. brings ancient China to life with a modern awareness.
The Huns have invaded! Defying the village matchmaker, Mulan takes up arms and disguises herself as a boy to join the army in her father’s stead. She and her mischievous dragon sidekick, Mushu, must save the empire to bring Honor to her family. As the great battle with the Huns approaches, in order to save the Emperor, Mulan must choose between revealing herself as a girl, shaming her family name or risking the fall of China!
Directed by Hillary Rogerson, Redding School of the Arts takes on a Disney Classic and squeezes a little more magic into it.
