Saturday Rehearsal
Hello Theater Families,
This Saturday, November 2, from 9:00am to 2:00pm is our first rehearsal outside of regular school hours. We will be meeting in room 19 and will begin promptly at 9:00. You can drop off your student in front of the office/amphitheater area, a parent volunteer will be there to sign them in at 8:50. This is a closed rehearsal. If you need to drop anything off for your student mid rehearsal you can leave it with our parent volunteer at the door. Snacks are being donated, if you would like, you can contribute to the snack donation as well.
The students will have a 35 minute lunch break around 11:30. If the cast has reached their goal of being off book by Friday, I will supply pizza. If not, they will need to pack a lunch. So far it’s looking promising for that pizza party.
They will need plenty of water and comfortable clothes and shoes. This show is very active and students need to be ready to move. By comfortable, I don't mean bunny slippers and pajamas… I’m thinking more along the lines of tennis shoes and activewear. If the students can run around and get up and down from the floor without having to worry about their clothes, and it fits the dress code, you are good. We will be working on the amphitheater stage, and the students will be sitting out in the amphitheater, so make sure to bring warm layers. So far my weather app says sunny and 64º. If there is rain we will stay under cover or work inside.
The students will put away their cell phones when rehearsal begins and can take them out at the end of the day. If they need to reach you at anypoint in rehearsal for something important they just need to ask and I will allow it. If you need to reach your student during rehearsal you can call or text my cell at (530)351-4313 and I will have them connect with you.
Students need to bring:
Script
Pencil
Notebook
Water
Warm layers
If they have a cloak, wand, or hat that fits their character they are welcome to practice with it until we get our actual supplies.
