Our middle school concert will be held April 3, beginning at 6:30pm (student report by 615), right here at RSA and will be devoted to paying tribute and honor to Mr. Burkett. You’ve probably heard that he is retiring after this year, and I’m hoping all middle school students will be part of this very special evening to honor Mr. Burkett as we prepare to say goodbye to him.


We’ll sing a number of the school songs that he has placed deep in each of our hearts, with Mr. Wylie’s music classes providing the accompaniment with arrangements specifically created for each class.


It’s hard to picture RSA without Mr. Burkett and I hope your child does not miss out on this important opportunity to show him how much he’s meant to all of us. We’re all busy, but I hope this is one night that a sports practice, a dance class- or even a game- can take a back seat to a chance to show our love for Mr. Burkett! If your child for some reason cannot attend, please let me know right away as we’re counting on each child for their part in the program.


Dress for the performers that evening will be black and white with a splash of color (each class will have their own color; ribbon, a tie, sash, hat, or something else that will give an accent with that color).
