Dear 2nd grade students and families:
Mrs. Schack and I are delighted to have you join us for an exciting year of learning and growth. This is my 12th year teaching Mandarin at RSA. My class always aims to provide a rich and immersive experience in Mandarin language and culture. Your child will be in a loving and caring learning environment with high standards in academics. The main curriculum is Mandarin Matrix Dual Language Immersion Novice 1 Readers and Level Learning Readers.
Throughout the year, we'll celebrate and engage in fun activities for important cultural events such as the Moon Festival, Lunar New Year, and Dragon Boat Festival. These celebrations will provide kids with a lot of hands-on experiences, stage performance, and deeper understanding of the traditions and culture from the target language.
