Mrs. Vanessa Thomas🦊

This marks my 17th year teaching. I completed my bachelor's degree and obtained my multiple-subject teaching credential at Chico State. Subsequently, I earned authorizations for single-subject teaching in Social Science and English, along with my Career Technical Education credential. Last year, I achieved my master’s degree in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology. 

I’m from Red Bluff, CA. I graduated from Red Bluff High School. I have lived in Redding since 2016. I'm married and my daughter, Callie attends RSA. I love reading, spending time with my family, learning, and traveling. I also speak some French and lived in Belgium as a Foreign Exchange Student. I acted in high school and college. Teaching at RSA has inspired me to return to community theater. Over the summer I auditioned for a local community theater program and was not offered a role. I am looking forward to auditioning again next year armed with some monologue suggestions from my amazing students. I feel lucky to be a part of the art-focused school community at Redding School of the Arts!
