Course Description:

In this year-long course, students will begin their first semester in Photography I/II  and transition in the second semester to Digital Art and Illustration I /II

 

Photography I

Photography 1 teaches students how a camera works and the fundamentals of how to use DSLR (digital single len reflex) cameras. Students will learn principles of exposure: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. They will gain experience using the photographic triangle to capture light and movement. 

 

Photography II

Digital Photography II  is designed for students who are interested in the practical experience of artistic photography.  Students will take the foundations of the photographic triangle and apply it to artistically lit environments. Students will keep a journal and problem solve as they push their personal creative ideas creating a thematic body of work.
